On Friday, January 28th, the GLHS Wind Symphony performed at the 17th Annual Michigan Music Conference on the stage of Devos Performance Hall in Grand Rapids. They were one of seven high school bands in the state to have been selected to perform at this prestigious venue. They put on a fabulous concert and the compliments from my colleagues and fellow directors across the state continue to come in! I am so thankful for the help of my friends and colleagues Ms. Schramm, Mr. Funk, and Mrs. Zerman for their help and support over the last few months. I'd also like to thank all the parent volunteers who helped coordinate meals for the band and all the parents who drove their kids to all our many rehearsals!
